"Visa" opens a regional office in Abidjan for West and Central Africa

An American multinational corporation providing payment services “Visa Inc.” in May 2017 opened a regional office in Abidjan (Cote d'Ivoire), which will cover 18 French-speaking and Portuguese-speaking countries in West and Central Africa.

This is the fifth regional office of “Visa” in sub-Saharan Africa after Johannesburg (South Africa), Nairobi (Kenya), Kigali (Rwanda) and Lagos (Nigeria). There are also two offices in the north of Africa - in Egypt and Morocco.

In addition to e-payments, in Western and Central Africa, “Visa” will introduce new technologies, in particular, mobile application mVisa for payments based on QR codes, which will significantly simplify and speed up the payment process.
